The companies mentioned herein are all producers of great bats. It generally is not the company's quality that matters more but is the contract of the bat manufacturer with the team or at times preference of an individual player. The material used by the companies is all the same. It only depends on how well you choose a bat. Personally from the list given i would choose to have a Gray-Nichols bat.

Slazenger users - Paul Collingwood, Ian Bell, Michael Clarke

Gm users - Michael Vaughn, Marcus Trescothick, Graeme Smith

I would say that Woodworms and Kookaburra are the best, because they are quite light, but you can hit a cricket ball quite a way with them. Woodworms look heavy, but are surprisingly light!! I would like the kookaburra Ice, because it is light, a meaty middle, and it looks great!! But.... both makes are very expensive!! Cheapest would be £100 on ebay probably! GMs are too heavy, slazengers are very nice and cheap!!! Gray Nicholls haven't tried.

They are all pretty good , but the secret is to take time over selection . Check the weight and pick up that best suits your method of playing .
As for copying any of your batting heroes , remember their bats are specially made by the manufacturers !! and they get as many as they want free so they get the company logo on TV every time they are at the crease !!!

Often bats that the pros use are restickered to suit sponsorship deals. I have had many bats over the years and the best ever was a Millichamp hall, also used by many pros under a different sticker !!!
