i met this GAY guy about 5 mths ago and now we're pretty good friends...i just recently have been crushing on him...i know its weird . Tonight i heard from a friend that knows him too, she said that he is really attracted to my personality and she said that we would date if he wasnt gay...so what do you think?

in case you needed to know he has been with a girl before....

I think that if he's not gay, but bi, since he's been with a girl before, he needs to come out and say so, and give you a chance, because that way it's the reverse discrimination. People don't date or hang out with others because of a certain race, religion and sex.orientation, so they could've done so to him, therefore he shouldn't repeat and ignore you just because...you know.
You need to sit down and talk to him about it.
good luck.

we're all people, not labels. Being 100 percent of one extreme just for the sake of a cause is probably just as unnatural as having to pretend one is zero percent; once tolerance is achieved we'll likely have a lot of 90/10s, 60/40s, etc - not just all-gay, all-straight or bi-presumed-50/40.

I may prefer brunettes and Asian women; that doesn't mean I can't date a blonde Swede. Preferences do not have to be barriers.

But it depends on him - is he a pioneer enough to date a woman if one such as you really appealed to him, or are the confines of a label satisfactory and even appealing to him?

good luck.

awww how sweet..hun i am happy for u to find someone but be realistic if u are having hopes of a romantic nature to a gay guy..if u are ok with him being with other men knowing that if he did fall in love with u sooner or later his true side will eventually come out one way or another and not to have any expectations that it will be a normal relationship then go for it..if not then do try to curve your intrest towards someone who will return your affections fully and not half heartedly..other than that enjoy each others company for what it is..good friendship..peace~

Has been does not mean that he enjoyed the experience. If he's not into women at all then leave him alone. You're just wasting your time and possibly ruining a friendship over a crush.

Easy, find someone who can love you back, rather than loving the impossible.

He is like a deer, you can admire him, but if you try to get too close he'll run off because you're not a deer.

If you're okay dating someone who is bisexual, I'd ask him out.

But, if it's something that's going to freak you out and cause a riff in your friendship, I'd be thankful to have him as a friend and leave it at that.

Ask yourself where you see this going and if you're willing to risk a friendship to see.

Best of luck to both of you!

Maybe he's more Bi than gay, and maybe you have a chance. But I wouldn't get your hopes up too high.
