I personally like Michael Moore, and I feel we should be having a real dialog about a nationalized health system. The point of my question was that while Moore brings a very real argument to the table and even people who disagree with Moore still acknowledge that the health care system needs help, everyone's attention is usually taken away by the new flavor of the week news story. I love dogs and think dog fighting is terrible, but it's pretty much concensus, everyone agrees and there isn't really anything new that needs to be addressed there. I guess I was wondering if anyone thought, like me, that Mike Moore's discussion of the health care system is much more relevant to them, and the country, than Mike Vick's dog fighting scandal.

Michael Moore is a truth teller and a great American.
Michael Vick is a sick punk. (If found guilty.)

Moore touches a few raw nerves with the truth, which some really don't want to hear in this somewhat deluded country.
Michael Vick has enough money to do something really good, but has regressed into doing the opposite.

While I don't agree with Michael Moore's political views, I am not aware that he has broken any laws. In the case of Michael Vick it is quite possible that he has. I know that athletes are fond of saying that they are not role models, but we all know that this is just self serving crap. People do look up to athletes, especially children. For this reason he concerns me much more than Michael Moore.

Michael Moore is a lying gelatinous sack of crap, but at least he has never abused any animals. Michael Vicks actions are far more nefarious than anything Moore has ever done.
According to psychology studies people who abuse animals have serious psychological problems. I hope Michael Vick takes it up his a s s everyday that he spends in prison if he's convicted.

I don't think most americans care about either,
Neither one has ever done anything to effect people lives, except on a very small scale.
heck, even moores 911 docudrama was only seen by about 1% of the population, and those had already made up thier minds before they saw it.

I am more concerned with Mike Vick. First of all, it looks like he committed a cruel and sadistic series of crimes. Last time I checked Moore did not electrocute and strangle dogs... I don't care much for Moore but I am not concerned about him. He is just presenting his opinions.

Vick. Americans cannot allow his violent and sadistic behavior and if he's got to be the scapegoat for all the cruel abusers out there, it has to be done so it will stop.
A Dog's Request
by Beth Norman Harris
Treat me kindly , my beloved master, for no heart in all the world is more grateful for kindness than the loving heart of me.
Do not break my spirit with a stick, for although I should lick your hand between blows, your patience and understanding will more quickly teach me the things you would have be do.
Speak to me often, for your voice is the world's sweetest music, as you must know by the fierce wagging of my tail when your footstep falls upon my waiting ear.
When it is cold and wet, please take me inside, for I am now a domesticated animal, no longer used to bitter elements. And I ask no greater glory than the privilege of sitting at your feet beside the hearth. Though had you no home, I would rather follow you through ice and snow than rest upon the softest pillow in the warmest home in the land, for you are my god and I am your devoted worshipper.
Keep my pan filled with fresh water, for although I should not reproach you were it dry, I cannot tell you when I suffer thirst. Feed me clean food so that I may stay well to romp and play and do your bidding, to walk by your side, and stand ready willing and able to protect you with my life should your life be in danger.
And beloved master , should the Great Master see fit to deprive me of my health or sight, do not turn me away from you. Rather, hold me gently in your arms as skilled hands grant me the merciful boon of eternal rest... and I will leave you knowing with the last breath I draw, my fate was every safest in your hands

Apparently Vick. Vick is such a dummy. First, he gets popped with marijuana at the airport, like they wouldn't find it. Duuuuuuhh. Now, the dogfighting. Atlanta's screwed.
