It amazes me to see how much humiliation he will suffer to be loyal to Bush. He probably has perjured himself and he has certainly obstructed justice. His memory is worse that somebody in the latest stages of senility, according to his "I can't recall" testimony before congress. I've read that he has never been more than mediocre as an attorney, and it seems his only credential is that he and Bush have been buddies for a long time. Bush always rewards loyal buddies, even if they don't qualify for the reward.

He's already had plenty of opportunity to correct his testimony and I don't think he should get any more chances but it's probably just a waste of time. Of course he will make corrections if he can but he may not do a day in prison anyway just like Libby. He also opened up a little can of worms about why he was at the hospital talking to Ashcroft. He claims that information is also classified.

Because under the rules -- he still has an opportunity to correct his verbal testimony for the record.

So, me might correct himself and stop saying things that are disproven by multiple other witnesses and official govt records.

He could only be indicted if he refuses (or fails) to correct his testimony for the record.

It would do no good. This administration would drag things out for years and then pardon him if he were convicted. All we can do is vote out this totally-uncaring-about-responsibility administration. Besides, the whole issue he's in front of Congress for is a smokescreen and was never illegal to begin with. What he should be prosecuted for is trying to gut the Constitution.

Every politician alive should be indicted for perjury. There's no question that every one of the scum committed it or asked someone to commit it or was relieved someone committed it (for saving their a.ss) at some point or other.

He should just step down... there would be no need to charge him if he just went away... He was scrambling on the Hill yesterday and was constantly contradicting himself; the committee was even laughing at him at times... what an embarrassment.
