No, I haven't been in that situation - I saved my grand-daughters life when she stopped breathing as a small baby, gave her CPR and brought her back, but that didn't put a risk to my life. But I would have done if I had to.

i am not sure that i was in any risk but i have saved a couple of people. saved one kid at the bottom of a pool and the mother was hysterical and doing nothing. i just walked with my towel to tan and there it was. i just dove to the bottom and pulled him right up heended up okay. know what, talking about earl's karmathing, that woman turn out to be the decisionmaker thtat got me into graduate school. had other incidents but not as karmatic as that. i guess she would have let him drown. nobody else around and she was looney tunes. her husband was a history prof and at work. apt. complex deal. and others have saved me. i would have been shot if an iranian (he called himself perian) hadn't jumped between me and a punky bar owner to pulled a pistol on me and i was too drunk to be afraid. he would have shot. minor miracle. lots of things actually. ive been pretty damn busy looking back.

I haven't as yet, but I have helped save a few lives when I was Nursing.

These Doctors and Hospital staff do a marvellous job and rewarded with long hours and little pay.

No; but someone risked their life to save me. When I was 8 years old I was being pulled under by quicksand. Feet stuck.. in to my knees... totally unable to move..sinking every minute.

The guy who was selling ice-creams at the booth rushed out and saved me. I never got the chance to properly thank him. Thank you man.

once saved a mate from being swept out to sea in massive waves spain, after he'd had too many beers, all he did was ***** at me for the rest of the holiday for tearing his favourite shirt as i dragged him back onto the beach.
i don't really swim, so i guess i was risking my life to an extent.

Yea ... but if I had stopped to think, I wouldn't have been able to move. My little cousin ran out in front of a car and instinctively I ran out and shoved her into the ditch. Of course, the idiot driver didn't slow down, stop, or anything.

Not really, but I did crash my car once to avoid a child who ran into the road.

I also sacrificed my job, to save some peoples lives.

Thankfully I've never been in a life or death situation. I've rushed friends to hospital in an emergency, but I don't think they were ever close to death.
