Japanese words don't end in consonants (except "n"), and the language doesn't have "st" (though "su" followed by a syllable that starts with "t" is sometimes pronounced with the 'u' very quick and silent), so it's probably not Japanese.

It wouldnt be a japanese word. Unless you mean Chitsu or Shitsu.
If it was Chitsu then you have a weird teacher because that means....vagina. :P
