I don't think you're supposed to sleep with them in since it's a large period of time (unless you want to wake up in intervals) but it's a risk of Toxic Shock Syndrome which is rare so don't worry. I have slept with them in though so it won't kill you. I like Tampax Pearl Unscented Regular or the Playtex Sport because I'm active but I found they don't work that much better than Pearl. Mine also leaks before it's full. i think sometimes it might just move around and get pulled and such and it will leak. I wouldn't go with a larger size if you're first starting to use them but if you're sexually active and all that then perhaps you need a bigger size.

You can wear a tampon to bed, there is no problem with that, it is all what you feel more comfortable using ..... I suggest putting in a new tampon before bed, and removing it when you get up.

My brand of perfereance is OB tampons - they don't have an applicator and are made by women for women .... they are designed to expand & take the shape of a women.

I would say, that just because you leaks before doesn't mean you need a larger size .... every tampon brand is designed a little different .... length, wide, absobence rate .... you could have just been bleeding heavily at that time, if you are afraid of minor leakage also wear a panty liner.

Yes you can sleep with them in, if you are going to sleep with one, be sure to put a new one in right before you go to bed. I have the same problems sometimes with it leaking when its not full, what i do is use a panty liner, too, because if it does happen to leak then i have extra protection i guess you could say. I only do this at the beginning of my period when its the heaviest, usually the 1st day, after that it works fine. Tampax Pearl is what i use and they work really good. Hope I helped!

umm i make sure right before you go to sleep u change it, becuz ur really supposed to only keep them in for like 6 hours at the most if u absolutely have to or 8 if u dont bleed a lot cuz its ending, which is wht i do, only if my flow is small tho... i'd use a pad to sleep with them. but i'd use tampax tampons during the day they work best for me, not the pearl one cuz tht was uncomfortable for me, and i put it in right.. and use a larger size or look to see if it says anything about if there's a certain size for certain flows. but absolutely DO NOT LEAVE IT IN FOR MORE THAN 6/8 Hours! you could get an infection!

You can sleep with them as long as you sleep less than 8 hours. If you are going to be sleeping in, then either wake up during the night and change it or wear a pad. I use Tampax pearl. if you are leaking throught them, you probably do need a higher absorbancy.

YES YOU CAN SLEEP IN THEM.... my personal fav is the Tampax Pearl, and i usually get the multi-size pack, because yes, you probably need a larger size at the beginning of your period than you do towards the end.

to your first question, i think you should use always heavy pads for the night, incase of a leak. The reason for this is because you should change your tampon every two to three hours. To your second question, i think you should use a larger size.
