I think if ryan howard continues these very impressive seasons he has a gret chance of breaking the HR record

he's got a bad break and had to start real late

I wish i could say confidently that he could but honestly he doesnt

do I think he could get up to more than 500 home runs ...absolutely...no doubter

but the all time home run record?

Honestly I don't see that happening

Im not a philly fan but I like Ryan Howard...I hope he increases his home run pace so that he can prove me wrong lol

Sorry to burst your bubble but he has no chance. He could hit 50 hr a season for the next 13 years and he would still be short. Highly unlikely seeing how even the very best such as Babe Ruth only hit 50 4 times in his career.

he might have a shot but he is having a disappointing season, but then again everyone does from time to time,he will definitely pass 600 but the going for the record will be hard and if he steps his game up and hits 40+ home runs every season until he retires i think he may have a shot.

Not unless he gets extreme playing longevity, probably by dipping himself in magic waters.

Howard debuted at age 24, first full season at 25, and his bulky body type likely won't hold up really well when he gets into his 30s.

Like stated already, he is too old. He was always blocked when he was a younger prospect and got brought up too late to even think about that. He is young but not young enough to break a record that large.

Highly unlikely. He started his career too old. Unless he plays til his mid 40s and stays healthy he won't do it.
