Endometrial hyperplasia is the medical term for unusual or excessive cell growth in the inner glandular lining of the uterus, also called the endometrium. Most of the time, endometrial hyperplasia is uncomplicated and easily treated by your ob/gyn provider, with minimal intervention.

However, there are times when uterine hyperplasia can get worse, leading to atypical and precancerous cellular changes. This is why any woman with hyperplasia is considered to be at a higher risk for cancer than one without. And even though this sounds scary, especially if you’ve just been diagnosed with a thickened endometrium, you should know that there are many steps between hyperplasia and full-blown uterine cancer — and early identification and intervention for uterine abnormalities is highly successful.

Good luck. Make sure you see your OB-GYN regularly.

Endometrial hyperplasia is a condition that occurs when the lining of the uterus (endometrium) grows too much. It is a benign (not cancer) condition.

So the lining of you uterus is growing too much. So you can have it scraped out every six months, and they'll analyze the tissue to make sure no cancer is there, or you can just have a hysterectomy now.

I don't know your age, whether you're finished childbearing, so I can't give an opinion on this one, but maybe with the extra explanation you'll be able to decide with your family.

honey believe me I would definitely be wanting to get another opinion on the best possible ways to take care of this. If a D & C will work just as effictively have it performed as soon as possible. Definately ask another Dr. what are your options but yeh even if your doctor doesnt seemed concerned you absolutely want to get this taken care of now. Even if it could be 5 or 10 you never know.Dont put off till tomorrow what you can be doing today. A womans health is very vital that we protect ourselves. See I had pre cancerous cells on my cervix my doctor said he wanted to freeze them I totally freaked and didnt go back to him for over 6 months when I did go back he wanted to kick my butt but after I had the procedure and went back I was clear and free. Every checkup since then I am free. Thank God I didnt wait to long. Were talking about possible cancer and our lives. Please go and take care of what you have to. A D & C I've had done to and it didnt hurt a lick. Nothing I was asleep and woke up and went home. The other is more evasive but if it has to be well isnt life worth living and you'll recover shortly. Good luck I will be praying for you.

Uterine fibroids are usually not dangerous, but can cause immense discomfort and lead to complications like anemia from heavy blood loss. In rare cases, they may cause complications that affect pregnancy.

In cases where there are no symptoms, treatment may not be necessary. However, proper diagnosis and treatment may be required if your symptoms are severe or causing complications. Along with conventional treatment, you can try some natural home remedies. Read here https://tr.im/HAIDq

I am sorry to hear that your Dr. seems so unconcerned about something that YOU ARE CONCERNED WITH! I would DEFINETLY GET UR MEDICAL RECORDS, and go get another opinion. Working in the Medical Field, this Dr. seems vague and very lacking in educating you, let alone reassuring you in a VERY POOR PROFESSIONAL MATTER! Please go get another opinon. This is UR LIFE- NOT HIS! Good luck and take care. There is a site below that does answer lots of questions re: ur diagnosis.
