I got the DTC codes that are 38 and 41... I know 41 is for Camshaft sensor or Camshaft Ciruit is faulty.. And I don't Know what 38 is and the two possibility answers are.. Brake Switch Low or Twighlight Sensor Low. Which one is it. I know the Brake lights work just fine. But the twilight seems to be working but the headlights did come on while it was still daylight outside. Where do I start with this... And Does the DTC 38 Turn on the CEL?

code 38 could be a defective or non responcive brake light switch.Code 41 could be a ignition module failure in the distributor or no cam reference signal if it is distributorless ignition.Check for broken wire to cam sensor.Check for voltage at cam plug with key on.

the dreaded code 41..you can try a cam sensor but i doubt it.......pull the water pump pulley off......take the 10mm holding the cam sensor in place.....take a mirror and a light shine it through the cam sensor hole and turn the engine over by hand ...what you are looking for is a cam shaft interrupter magnet the cam sensor gets it reading from this magnet...usually they deteriorate and fall off if you dont see the magnat the timing cover has to be removed to replace it once you are in there put a new three piece timing set in there also.......common problem
