Rock vs Rap?

Which is better and why? Best reason gets best answer :)

if you'd had asked that question 15-20 years ago i would have said rock....you wouldn't have anyone on the dance floor with rap....but times have changed....and rap is the winner. But the way things are moving ...swing is making a come back as well.

the rock songs never get old are always good and you always hear them on the radio
rock has the coolest instruments like drums and the guitar
rock has real sounds, real musicians, real good music unlike pop and rap crap
rock songs usally tell a story and have meaning and have some good genres that have branched off of it like heavy metal, alternative, punk rock those just a few

Rock, because rap is ok but after a while it kind of gets on my nerves. Rock is better to me cause i like more rock songs than rap. But the only rap or hip hop singer-whatever, that i like is nelly. I am a rock person, rap songs seem like there all the same.

I prefer rock, mostly because of the instruments. It's also a huge turn off for me the ridiculous actions and just the way rappers present themselves. I would much rather listen to someone singing and having background music instead of a man rapping into a microphone over some horrible beat.

I like rock, but my favorite is rap. It is more catchy. And I'm not talking about all that 50 cent Nelly crap, or the stuff that talks about video hoes, bling, grillz, or money, or all that new MTV crap like "This is why I'm hot" "lipgloss" "ay bay bay" "walk it out" "like this" blah blah blah meaningless stuff that repeats the same line. I'm talking about the rap that actually has lyrics, meaning, and that tells a story. Rap that requires some talent. No bubble gum, MTV, wannabe "rap".......
