This question is mainly for yankee fans. I have been enjoying getting them all riled up with my questions and answers. I thought I'd give you a chance to see what it would take to get me riled up.
Go ahead and tell me The Tigers lost 119 games 4 years ago. I know that, and it's amzing how far they have come since then.
Go ahead and tell me they choked in the World Series last year; with our pitchers setting a new WS record 5 errors. WHOA! How cool was that? The Tigers WENT to the WS, after 12 straight losing seasons. Pretty amazing,eh? And that experience they gained from that will only make them stronger.
Go ahead and tell me we cant even beat KC or The White Sux...but we'll still in 1st place? Go ahead and tell me our bullpen blows a lot of leads. It's Ok, Rodney & Zumaya are coming back soon. Go ahead and tell me Sheffield is a loud mouth and will hurt this team---not with his bat he won't.
Go ahead, and hit me with your best shot.

How could I forget to mention kenny Rogers? It's ok...Leyland has him potty trained now, so he will wash his hands afterwards!

Oh yeah, Cleveland. I know they are a good team. I was referring to the part where KC beat us 2 of 3 this past week and the white sux swept a doubleheader from us the other day. If we cant beat those guys, how can we win? Answer...pitching and offense.

As a Yankee fan, I'll tell you that I root for the White Sox...clearly the better franchise......lol......

OK it seems that you still have to compete with the Indians also it is a matter of time before Sheffield gets his suspension from doing steroids, other than that, the tigers are a good team and have a great chance of winning it all. they still have to learn to win it all though.
In response to carter 26 it was Sheffield who was mad about leaving the Yankees last year. He is a great player always has been, but he has been buddies with Bonds, and he does not know when to shut his mouth, wait til the tigers hit a down period and watch how he will blast someone from the tigers. He is a prima donna, but he can carry a team for a while.

Love the Tigers. My hubby and I try not to miss a game. What I don't like is that all you ever hear about is the Yankees and the White Sox. The Tigers did some amazing stuff last year, all the way to the World Series, yet no one talks about them. Oh well, GO TIGERS.

you know what irks me as a tigers fan??? ill tell you.. no, its not the losing 119 games. its not the 5 errors or the crap on kenny rogers hand.. what irks me is some of these fans, primarily yankees fans that even though their team is close to being out of it, still think theyre THE world beaters...the CONSTANT yapping about how great their team is, a hole rod this, and that, derek "smarta.$$" jeter is so great, when they dont get a perfect game they boo their own players,(look at poor randy johnson... they bood a future hall of fame player with pretty decent numbers while pitching for this lousy team. if he would have had numbers like that with say the twins, he would have been the greatest non yankee ever)the yankees are gonna plow by boston, 7 1/2 isnt enough, blah, blah, blah... these people could never, ever endure 12 losing seasons in a row, five errors in the ws, and 119 loses in a single season and still be fans... they couldnt handle it.. they would all run away so fast, it would make a mets fans head spin... these fans EXPECT theyankees to win...pure and simple. they should.. they have the higest payroll in the majors.. they also pay almost if not the most to see these schmucks...fair weather fans and uninformed dolts that banter about how great the yankees are and how theyre gonna beat EVERYONE in the world even though theyre almost out of the race is what irks the you know what out of me....they cannot see what their team is through rose colored glasses...
and to the cardinals fan....keep gloating on your ws win... i remember a series you lost, no, sorry, choked up to the tigers... ah, lets see if you remember... bob gibson, 17 k's game 1, curt flood, mickey lolich... MICKEY LOLICH??? who the hell is he??? ah, yes, now you remember. i remember it like it was yesterday... it was 1968. and your team CHOKED UP a 3-1 game lead and gave the tigers one of the greatest world series comebacks of all times.....mickey lolich... three world series wins.. hasnt been repeated since... ahahhahahahahaha.,..hack, hack.. puke.... keep gloating..

Im from Detroit and I throughly enjoy watching the Tigers walk all over the Yankees because all they have are excuses, and all they talk about is how much they hate Sheff. Yeah I'd hate him too if he gets away from my old team only to be the best DH in the league next season, but all they do is complain its like seriously your team sucks quit complaining.
