Because I was a dork and once played a game where we had to be the first to find a book on a certain topic in the library when I was younger, I sadly know that in the non-fiction section there is a "religion and spirituality" section in the dewey decimal system, and they sort it by the type of religion (like one shelf on witchcraft, ghosts, christianity [okay, a few shelfs on christianity], jewish, etc). I'm not sure if they have actual bibles in libraries, but if they did they would go in the non-fiction. It seems stupid, seeing as it is merely a story, but if you think about a book about say ghost sightings or something, that would go in the non-fiction section (in our library we had ghosts + religion in one isle ... along with Ripley's Believe it or not, haha).

Neither, if the library is using the Dewey Decimal System, the Bible belongs in the reference section.

The bible goes in the non-fiction section. It would be with the other religious books such as the Book of Mormon and the Koran.

In the section on religion
(religion is quite REAL by the way-- once you ever got a touch of it -- you'd see this fairly rapid )

I believe it's in history -- whether you believe in it or not, most scholars believe it is a good historical document.
