I hope so. Florida adopted it as the official state language, becuase people in miami area were trying to make spanish the official language of the city (or dade county).

writersblock, it would save the country tens of millions in printing things like ballots, or documents in spanish.

All of the candidates are trying to speak in Spanish but they must make English as the official language of the US.

No, they are afraid of losing the non-English vote. The politicians rarely answer to the true people that put them in office. It's always the fringe groups, special interest groups, the illegal aliens, welfare folks, and anyone else that can give them votes.

Dem or Reps it makes no difference. All they care about are the lobbyists that bring them election campaign contributions, the votes, and getting in power. Nothing else matters to them.

Why is it so important to make English the official language??? America is a melting pot of people from all different backgrounds so why should English become our official language. Everyone knows that most of America speaks English so why do we need it written in the Almanac?

no, but it's not a matter of balls.

why do we need such a law to be passed?
English is already the de-facto language of the U.S. government.
I don't see any politicians being elected who can't speak English.
So what would be the purpose of having an "official" language?

The question really is:
Does any candidate have the balls to show off that still-wet Swastika tattoo?

Should english be the official language because you're too god damn lazy to learn another, or because you don't want other people to have the chance to make America better?

Do you hate just mexicans, or all people who know that that confederate flag you're wavin' has nothing to do (with you) with a state's right to secede.

Do you think that any candidate will have the balls to drop a nuclear bomb on Los Angeles in order to kill all the illegal immigrants?

I didn't think so.

Why would we want to? Isn't this just an attempt to make people with limited English feel even more disenfranchised?
Other countries manage to get by with more than one language and no official language. Why do you hate America so much as to feel we are inferior to Belgium or Singapore?

They should, they'd get my vote! Especially with that pizza chain that was allowing customers in the U.S. to pay with pesos, that's unacceptable, since when did pesos become the official currency of the U.S.?

No...Liberals never had any balls and in the course of the last 20 years conservatives seem to have cut theirs off.
