it depends on how dressy the dress is. some dresses are not meant to be worn with heels. i.e, the shirt dress. so yes, a dress can be worn with flat shoes, sneakers (although it doesn't look that great), flip flops, heels...etc.

Depends on the dress. If it is a denim dress, then sometimes I will wear a matching pair of canvas sneakers. Nowadays, most of the time, I wear sandals, flip fops, or when I go to church flats or very low heels.

um, actually, i have some casual dresses that i wear with flip flops and i also have a dress that is sorta almost 50's style that i would wear with little keds. heels are good. for dances at my school though, we all wear heels for pictures and everything, then once we get to the winter formal or whatever, we all change into flip flops. rainbows. i think its a southern california thing, wearing rainbow sandals, other people in other states have never heard of them. they are the best sandals in the world. they are expensive, but you will never want to wear another flip flop ever again! their amazing.

I went to prom in flip flops. That's the only time I wore a dress, then I had to wear one for my brother wedding, ew. I had to wear high heels for that one too. I cut the strap and told them they broke. I ended up going bare footed.

No sneakers, but flip flops or sandals or other low heels. I HATE high heels. They make my feet hurt.
