i have a cut, and it wont stop bleeding, im scared any suggestions?

You must have hit a small vein that's why it won't stop bleeding. Apply heavy pressure on it, use ice cubes on it as well. If that doesn't work, you need stitches. Go to the ER. You are risking getting an infection.

Is it just an oozing kind of bleeding? If so, apply a dressing with gauze and tape fairly tight-and leave it alone. If it's on a finger,hand or foot, don't use the extremity for awhile until the oozing stops.
But if it is really bleeding steadily, you must seek medical attention.

Apply direct pressure to the wound with a sterile dressing. If it soaks through, do not take the old one off, put a new one on top. If that doesn't stop the bleeding, here's what you do:
Get off Yahoo Answers and go to the hospital!!!

run cold-ish water on it for a while and press on it using cotton applying necessary pressure in order to stop the bleeding. If it's really bad, use rubbing alcohol to clean it . Apply a bandage and you're done!
