Does your mom know you have started having periods....I know it can be an embarrasing topic. I will say when you get to the store, the pantyliners are only a dollar and the always brand feels like it isn't even there. As for toilet paper, if you have no other choice, use it....better than nothing but I would be self conscious of it and make sure it is secure...it can come lose and fall out down the pantleg of your pants or shorts and especially a dress unless you wear hose, tights or bike shorts. Not our business why you can't talk to a sister or mom but hopefully there is someone you can confide in, school nurse or teacher, friend or friends mom, an aunt??? I would change it everytime you go to the bathroom or think about it, everytime it feels like there is a wetness....cause if you start, you will want a pad then. right?? The school nurse will have some in her office too.

Pantyliners are much thinner and more comfortable than pads and are specifically designed for vaginal discharge. You could use toilet paper and change it whenever you go to the bathroom, but because the toilet paper doesn't have the sticky back like liners do, it can move and fall out of your underwear very easily - been there, done that, really embarrassing!

Well...you can tear it apart so it looks like a squiggle, then write a letter on it and send it to someone. It is maddening, esp if it is a juicy letter that the person really wants to read but it's hard to get through it. Snail mailers unite. You can also toss them in the kids art box. It might be wheels for a cereal box car...or a telescope for a pirate raid, or a musical instrument. Plug one end, fill with uncooked rice, and plug the other end, then decorate it for a percussion piece. You can tear it apart and use it for a cat toy, it kind of bounces on itself in a way that makes a cat very frisky. They also like the plastic stuff that binds packages together because it does the same thing, due to being bent around the box. You can use them in a purely functional way, maybe you can rest a wet paintbrush (art brush, not a housepainting brush) inside so it doesn't leave a mark on the furniture. Cover the whole thing in plastic and it won't dry out between creative bursts.

well i used toilet paper in an emergency before, i think we ALL have. just be sure to secure it so it doesn't fall out. depending on how heavy your flow is an dhow much tissue you use i wld check it every 3 hours, but this really depends on your flow.
when i used to only use tampons i wld wear a thin pantyliner on my lite days. panytliners are much less expensive than pads too.

if you use toilet paper, then change it like every time you go the bathroom or every 3 hours. i guess it depends on how heavy the discharge is.

You could, but is there really that much discharge? I never wear pantyliners for discharge. unless it is excessive, you shouldn't really need anything.

You should change it very often because toilet paper is very thin.

You probably could.
I heard girls do that for their period when they don't have pad or tampon on hand.
