There is a member of the family that was caught up in all the Katrina / Rita issues in TX.. we didn't think he was there at the time and now know he was.. all of the people he would have known to contact within the family have moved or have unlisted numbers / cell numbers, so we don't think he'd know how to contact us.. recently at a family event, we all started talking about him and realized none of us had heard from him in a long time.. we've tried doing all the intellius, zabasearch's.. all of his immediate family have died.. we are at a brick wall.. but, I know if you can get someone's social you can search more reliably for them.. any suggestions?

Legally, there is no way to get the information unless you have access to something of his with the information on it.

You could try hiring a PI, or you could simply make your information more readily available.

I wish you the best of luck.

I would suggest you look up some of the agencies that help look for displaced people from Katrina and Rita and ask. With all the identity theft these days, nobody is going to give out Social Security numbers simply to find someone.
