my boyfriend asked me this question and i kind of know what hes talking about.. so sorry for lack of details:
it is a brad pitt movie and he either loses his memory or its taken from him.. and he has left himself clues to remember what happened to him.so throughout the movie hes continuing to find them and .. yea

It's not Brad Pitt. It's Ben Affleck. "Paycheck" is the movie. I've seen the movie myself, that's why the plot seem familiar to me. You may have mistook Affleck for Pitt as they're among the good looking guys in Hollywood. Check out the storyline on the link below

I think I've watched enough Brad Pitt movies to know that he doesn't lose his memory in any of them. What your boyfriend means is "Paycheck", a great movie starring Ben Affleck whose memory is taken from him. He saw this coming and so left himself clues for which to find after his memory is wiped clean.

That movie sounds REALLY familiar, but I really don't think it's with Brad Pitt. I wanna say it's with the guy Jennifer Aniston is married to right now. Ben Affleck, that's the guy. The title's coming to me... something with a,'P.'...,"Paycheck!!!"That's it!

thats MEMENTO directed by Christopher Nolan, but it does not star Brad Pitt, it stars Guy Pearce. MEMENTO chronicles two separate stories of Leonard (Guy Pearce), a ex-insurance investigator who can no longer build new memories, as he attempts to find the murderer of his wife, which is the last thing he remembers. One story line movies forward in time while the other tells the story backwards revealing more each time.

but it actually sounds more like Momento which isn't a Brad Pitt one.. Guys has no long term memory after he is attacked one night.. He takes photographs of things or people he needs to remember.. he also tattoo's anything that is really important..
