i feel your pain!!! im a mother of three ages 8,3, and 1. i work four days a week and my hubby is ALWAYS working. hes a neat freak and is usually making comments about the house and usually i dont care. i clean as much as i can when i have the time or energy during the day. then after the kids are asleep i sit and relax for about an hour then i do dishes or whatever needs to be done. fold the luandry as u sit on the couch. grab a "toy box" and load all the kids toys at once. you dont need to do it all at once!! once you see the results youll feel better i always do!! good luck and dont worry.....with kids your house will always be a mess

Sometimes it is overwhelming to take care of kids and keep a house clean! You have to imagine how wonderful it is going to feel when your house is clean and tidy. It will bring organization into your life and it will uplift you. Dirty house usually brings depression for me! Make a pact with yourself that you will completely clean one room everyday and keep it clean until the whole house is done! Do not try to clean every room at the same time by doing a few things in each room. It is very rewarding and uplifting to clean an entire area where you will not need to work on it the next day. I would start with the kitchen and areas that are seen the most first. Also, invite some guests there is nothing like a guest to motivate you in cleaning the house!

Ok. Take a deep breath. Let it out.
Get a piece of paper. Make little check boxes down one side. Next to each check box put an item that needs to be done. Make it something that will take no more than 30 minutes to do. Less if possible. Like, if there are 3 loads of laundry, make it into 3 items.
Now. Pick ONE item. Do it. Do not even look at anything else. Just do that item. And then check it off. And look at the finished product and see that it is good. CHEER for yourself! Do it out loud even. Dance a little. (you'll feel more like it as you check things off)
Then pick the next item.
Someone mentioned music. Yah! put music on. Someone also mentioned having a sister (or friend) help you. You could do a trade... you help me for 2 hours today, we go to your place for 2 tomorrow. This works if both people are industrious.

I'm not a mom, but here's something that I've done to help with my cleaning. Make short (!) list of what needs to be done in one room. Put on one of your favorite cds in that room and see how much you can get done by X track on the cd. It always help me, especially if I'm singing along, lip-synching, or just being a bit goofy as I do the chore.
Another option is to get your kids involved. Your 3 year old can also help out by putting toys away in a low basket so you can wash/bleach them later. Or she/he can help you find dirty clothes to put into the laundry basket or help toss into the washer or dryer. You may even want to hold a "contest" to see how fast you can get X chore done with your kid. Kids LOVE this type of stuff and you'll still get to spend some quality time with your child as well.
Hope this gives you some ideas.

When it comes to cleaning, when I was a liI was younger, I used this method with my sister, and I occasionally put up nice music we liked, then we set a time for ourselves for each little sections of the house and raced to finish before the time is up (Usually 10- 15 mins). I think putting up music would be nice. Once you start cleaning, you don't want to stop until you're done. (At least, that's what I do.)

House management is really very hard to cope up nowdays when good domestic helper is hard to find. Try to follow simple rule "There's a place of everything and everything in its place". A good routine schedule should be followed for laundry, cleaning, and others. This way, it will ease up your problem and I hope things will be alright with you.
