They should be banned. They were bred for fighting. The majority of pitbull owners are gang members and drug users, who use them for status or to protect their drugs and drug money
^ that is a lie! And borderline racist. Pitbulls are cute dogs. They're not very bright, but they're so friendly. People like Mike Vick train them for fighting, and then the breed gets blamed. It's unfair.

well i used to own 15 of them at one time. they are very affectionate, caring and loyal animals on the planet. i had one that would not let my kids near the road she would pull them back towards the house when they got to close for her comfort. i also had one that stayed in the house 24/7 and my kids pulled tails tugged ears rode on his back and would lay down in the floor and use him as a pillow. when my second daughter was born we bought her a pup and it slept in the crib with her, when we went somewhere in the car it would ride in the car seat with her and if some one he didn't know got to close he would let them know to back off. they act out the same way they are treated if u show love and affection as they grow up then they return the same but if u teach them to hate then watch the hell out because there is no stopping them.

love them! I have 3 of them and they are great dogs. I know they have a bad reputation but it does not apply to all of them. As long as they are raised right they are awesome dogs. I also own a Rottweiler. The difference between her and my Pitt bulls are the rotty is naturally people aggressive, as to where the Pitt is dog aggressive. as long as you socialize the dog from the beginning, excellent dog!

I can't stand them. They are perfectly bred for killing each other. The bodies are stocky and muscular, with short ears to prevent them from being pulled on by the opponent dog. The jaws are large for biting and locking on to the opponent. The very name of the pitbull comes from it's fighting purpose;
A "pit" is the fighting ring for the dogs and "bull" comes from it's breed descendancy ( pitbulls are not a true breed). They are ugly and from my own experience of owning one, hyperactive and stupid, not to mention they stink more than a normal dog should! I'm sticking to my new jack russel terrier, thanks.

i think pit bulls are rather ugly dogs. should they be banned? nah thay just get a bad rap. if you're thinking of gettin on get a golden retriever or a springer spaniel instead. that way cooler and smarter too.

I think they are cute. But I don't want one, I'm afraid it may snap on my 2 year old one day.
I prefer to have a Great Dane.

yes i LOVE them,but then again i love all breeds , they are great dogs as long as they come from good breeding, which when getting a pit its better to see the parents in their 'natural environment' to see how they act or react
