Yes. It bites, bigtime. Often not there when you need it. Never where you'd expect to find it. Falls short when you've got nothing else. Changes the direction of your life and leaves you hanging. Fools you into giving too much of yourself just to bonk you on the head and run off with someone else.

It's blinding when you need to see most clearly.

So noisy, you never heard that train coming.

I wouldn't know. It seems to me like love is very difficult to find unless we are completely happy with ourselves. If I catch myself longing for love I follow up the emotion with sadness. In that sense love does bite, suck and swallow. Because in reality people only fall in love when they are at the top of their game. If you are experiencing a negative trend the hormones are never released.
