Heck no, that's what makes us strong. Even the seditious have free speech (those laws were ended).

It makes us strong. However, to insist that others not respond, not answer, not call it as THEY see it IS a call to end such debate.

I encourage patriotic debate (without the name-calling, the unfounded rumor spreading, the "guilty until proved innocent" treatment). I've convinced many people of the patriotism of protest, as long as the protest is legal, respectful of our (unconvicted) representatives, and they, in turn have shown me how we each serve a function in our country, like brakes and gas, needed no matter what direction we are going.

If every time we started losing a debate we used this argument, we wouldn't talk much.

I think if you look around, there is plenty of debate going on, and always will be in our great country.

I fought hard for that. Free speech is one of our (Democratic) political successes.

It was pretty interesting that's for sure. Interesting to see Screamin' Dean has a new replacement in Gravel....lol.

I love politics. It's like a live soap opera.
