I think it all depends upon what the judge rules. If Vick is found guilty, he's gone. Good Riddance. If, however, Vick is found NOT guilty, then I'm not sure the NFL would have enough to go on to even suspend him.

Remember: Not Guilty = Innocent in the eyes of the Law... even if they are not innocent.

Therefore, the question becomes what would the Falcons do with him. I think since they gave up Matt Schaub (DOH!) and I believe Joey Harrington is the backup (DOH!), one would have to assume Atlanta would trade Vick for a real QB, or keep him to revel in another season of mediocrity.

Michael Vick isn't going to be playing football again for a long time. As a football fan, I say this is something that was long overdue IMO.

he'll be closer to prison than playing football. After the BALCO mess, the federal prosecutor on this case will have his act together and I'm afraid Vick is very likely in a mess he'll not get out of without doing some time.

I doubt it. He will probably miss all of camp and the exhibition season as the case against him is being pieced together. Also, the league is more image conscious. Look at Pacman Jones. He is sitting out the whole season and he is a major star in Tennessee. The NFL is sending a message, no one is too big for the rules.
