The only thing a lib can dodge better than the draft is a direct question. Briliant.

Well, why do you think Republicans have no problem with Bush's Draft dodging, but are all bent out of shape because Clinton did the same thing?

And for that matter, were all bent out of shape because Kerry actually went to Viet Nam?

It's all just spin on both sides.

Clinton didn't avoid the draft in any unusual or illegal way. He was in college and got a deferment. He also briefly joined the ROTC to avoid being drafted, which was common at the time, not to mention perfectly legal.

On the other hand, in order to avoid being drafted, Bush used his family's influence to get a post in the National Guard that rightfully belonged to someone else.

I do not remember Clinton winning elections by smearing the war records of decorated heroes, Bush did exactly that to McCain and Kerry. Bush is a hypocrite- that is the issue.

Know what bothers me? Questions like this, that put forth the assertion that all liberals feel the same way about a particular issue. I couldn't give a crap less about Bush's military service. Military service does NOT automatically make you qualified to lead a country.

The problem, however, is that Bush lacks ANY of the qualities of a good U.S. President.

Now, please amend your question to read that SOME liberals believe this. Because not all of us care.

I am frustrated listening to people say that Kerry didn't deserve his medals when he was in Vietnam and got shot at...at Bush's people attacked him for being a coward....especially when Bush never served.....it's so ridiculous that a man who never served attacks another on his actual service....the whole thing was a smoke screen hiding any real debate....so who do we vote for, the guy who can come up with the best verbal assault or the guy with the highest ethical character?

You never saw Clinton dressed up pretending to be a navy pilot landing on the flight deck of a carrier. Every navy man on that boat that day should have puked in his face, stripped that flight suit off of him, and tossed him over board. It was a disgrace.
