My advice being an artist myself is that you will get inspiration from life itself. I know that may sound really stupid and you may say, "yeah, yeah" as did I. However I realised much later that observing life is in fact a great way to get inspiration. The more you see, the more you're able to imagine and visualise and create. I know from experience. Take something as simple as the street outside your house, and use that as a model for something outrageous and creative. Turn the light posts into something completely different, alter the shapes of houses, add things to the roads, do something with the sky, put something at the end of the street. I've also found looking inside fashion magazines or other art magazines to be incredibly inspiring. If not that, find an artist who closly matches your style, or an artist who you admire and where the drawings astound you, and get inspiration from them. I've never tried the former, it was a suggestion from my art teacher. As to what you should do, just draw as much as you can, you learn a lot from that, not just about yourself, but your surroundings. One last tip, if you have a WACOM pen tablet, try speed painting as that is really useful and is fun too. It's a great way to find your style, deepen your style, create what can be suprisingly amazing images. You'll be surprised. If you don't have one, it doesn't matter, just don't erase (or not too much anyway) if you're using pencil. Just draw fast, and draw the first things that come to your head. Hope it helped.

I love to draw... painting is harder but I try every once in a while... I've got a paint set but don't know exactly how to use it.
Have you ever heard of Deviantart.com? If you haven't, you should consider making an account on there. You can show off your drawings to everyone!

omg...I was in the arts and craft store in March getting supplies for a church project right? I noticed the canvases so I bought one and a couple of different paints. In the last 4 months I have now done over TWENTY paintings! I have even had people offer to buy them. Unbelievable!

I can't draw anything but stick figures. I have never tried to paint. I can color with crayons though.

You don't need expensive fancy supplies to paint and draw, just go to your local walmart and purchase some supplies.
