I listen to ska and reggae so here's some stuff:
80HD
The Aquabats!
Big D and the Kid's Table
Brain Failure
Catch 22
The English Beat
Less Than Jake
The Mighty Mighty Bosstones
Mustard Plug
Reel Big Fish
Ska-P
The Skeletones
The Specials
Sublime
Suburban Legends
The Toasters
Voodoo Glow Skulls
I recomend first looking for them on myspace and youtube then don't look in a record store for them because they're not mainstream enough to be stocked at places like Best Buy but Best Buy does stock:
Catch 22
Less Than Jake
The Mighty Mighty Bosstones
Mustard Plug
Reel Big Fish
The Specials
Sublime
that's where I got those band's CDs for the rest try amazon.com
or other places like that

Try out some of the bands who are at ozzfest this year. "The Showdown" has an amazing remake of "Carry On My Wayward Son" made popular by Kansas. It's really an amazing version! It's not so sappy as Kansas made it to be, and The Showdown just, well, ROCKS. They'res more songs from them too that are definately worth checking out.
Also there's a Thiland band that mixes what they call black death metal with traditional asian musical instruments. It's actually really cool once you get through their screamy growling lyrics. I think the band is CHTHONIC.
There's another one, which has a chick singing. When she sings she belts out the tunes sooo beautifully. Check out the song, Beautiful Tragedy by In This Moment. Wow.
Otherwise, go back to the basics, with some Black Sabbath, maybe the remakes from their albums, Nativity In Black (I & II). Some of the older bands, like Faith No More, Primus, Pantera, Rob zombie, or even Iron Maiden do kickass remakes of old school Sabbath songs. It's really cool to hear such old classics redone so beautifully. MUST check out "The Wizzard", by Bullring Brummies, N.I.B, redone by Primus with Ozzy singing (WOW!), War Pigs by Faith No More, Children Of The Grave by Rob Zombie, and Pantera's version of Paranoid. I just can't get enough of the old school remakes!!! lol

You are pretty wide spread. I am not that wide spread. I don't listen to jazz, folk, 80s/90s college rock, and I don't know what ska is.
Nickleback, Daughtry (highly recommended), Godsmack, Saliva, Shine down, Hinder. Just to mention a few I listen to.
