I do and I'm old! lol Triangle 6-8906 That was in the Illinois area and back in the late fifties! What's weird is, I have trouble now remembering my cell phone number, but, then again, I never call it!

I remember the first phone # my parents ever had. The prefix in the era I am talking about was not numbers. FRontier-1 was our prefix. It crosses into the 371 prefix but you used the letters assigned the keys.

We had GIlbert and GLadstone and I think that was it in the local area. My grandmother's was three longs and two shorts. My aunt ran the switch board in one tiny little town.

Memory lane is really a cool place to stroll.

Thanks for the memories...

Yes I remember our phone number when I was a kid. It was
109M. When you made a call you picked up the receiver and the operator would come on and as you the number you were calling and make the connection. That was in the 1940's
There was no dial on phones then.

FEderal 9-2166.
My cousin's was FEderal 09-0486
Friends was OLstead 6-6417
Shore number was DIamond 9-9480

I couldn't tell you any of the past numbers I've had during the last 40 years, but these are embedded in my brain! Of course, nobody I know uses them anymore, but I still know them.

Hey, I'm only thirty-
the only # I remember is from childhood, before 12.
The others flew by me, but I HAD to know that one, just in case I got separated form my mommy or whatever. THey DRILL you when you're a kid, to know your address and phone number! LOL
