I'm planning a trip to San Antonio for next week, Wednesday through Sunday. I'm so excited, but all I've been hearing about San Antonio is all the rain and flooding. Is it that bad? Should I think about rescheduling my trip? If it help, we plan on going to Sea World for two days, and just kind of messing around town the rest of the time. I just don't want to make that drive and be rained out the whole time. Thanks!

Next Wed - Sun will have Thunderstorms between 30 and 60% chance with highs in the mid 80's and lows in the 70's.

San Antonio has had a historically wet year with rain almost daily since April.

Some days you will have some sunny periods but usually mostly overcast this year.

Not our best year for a visit, but bring a collapsable umbrella and light weight pocho or waterproof jacket and come anyway

Have a great holiday!

There is not a fair way to give you a really good answer. I would like to tell you not a problem and it may not be, but we have had a lot of rain, this isn't the problem the problem comes from is it going to rain all of the time that you are here. That i can't answer but I will tell you that there has been a lot of folks going to Sea World everyday, I know I see them I live about a mile away. Even though we have had rain everyday a good part of the day it hasn't rained. The best advice I can give you is check the weather service a day or two before you come. I had heard earlier that this may clear by Monday so that would make it a good time to come. I will add one other thing and that is that the temperature is much lower because of the low pressure and that makes it nice this time of the year, like 85 degrees as opposed to 105 degrees

The rain is very unusual. We are in a prime location for rain, it is amazing we have not had this kind of rain before. The gulf to the east gives us rains from tropical storms and hurricanes and the pacific oceans hurricanes to the west place in direct line of rain. Usually it is just too darn hot for us to get relief from rain, but the conditions were prime as it has been cooler, so we have had this lovely tropical weather. Just for you though, I heard on the news tonight that it is supposed to let up on Monday and we should start drying out. But, if it should rain again, here are some ideas...Natural Bridge Caverns, partying at Southtown on the first friday of the Month, rain or shine, the Missions, the Museums, the El Mercado, Buckhorn Saloon's happy hour, Madhatter's for lunch, brunch or dinner, Tito's for the same, the Botanical Gardens, the zoo (animals like the rain if it's not coming down too hard and are a little more frisky). I hope you do decide to come to San Antonio. Light a candle at the Missions to bring relief from the rain. Many did for relief from our drought and you see what happened? :)

Go to woai.com for some ideas of positive things to do in San Antonio while it's raining.

I think it should be okay to come. The riverwalk has been nice and cool at night because of all the rain, so that should be fun. It might be nicer since it is so cool in the evenings, so messing around downtown is a good idea.

The rain is unusual. If you do come just be sure not to cross barricades and watch on the side of the roads where the markers show how deep it is in those low areas. SA is fun. Im sure you will have a blast

I would be much more fun if you come out when it is not raining because you get to visit a lot of other places too.
