Yes, probably now that I've been here awhile, but if they initially charged a sign-up fee I doubt that I would have made it past the registration page. In the nearly five months that I've been here, I've learned a lot about others (both good & bad) and hope that I've helped others in return. Maybe that could be considered our "payment" -- you have to help someone by providing a Best Answer before you can ask any of your own questions! What do you think?

No. I share what I know without compensation, so I do not feel that someone else should profit from it.
Also prior to the baby boomer generation (anti establishment turned complete governement control of everything) many activities cost little or nothing to participate in. This forum brings everyone together regardless of ability to pay.

as many faithful yahoo members as yahoo has they should be giving us more than yahoo answers for free@@@ they got the internet on lock down and thats a lot of money rolling in give something back to your customers$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Oh, and that would defiantly get rid of all the trolls.
