Not one supporter of Bush condemned Gonzales' apparent perjury... they all brought up Clinton.

Is this what our country is coming to? "My party doesn't have to have any integrity because yours doesn't"?

Are you people KIDDING?

Apparently to Bush supporters, lying about sex, a common thing among Americans, is a worse crime than trying to undermine the US Constitution, and the freedom it protects.

It's a psychological survival function. The mind is supposed to convince itself that it and the rest of the body are utterly perfect. That, therefore, keeps confidence up and gets rid of doubt and skittishness. This function evolved for survival though, and is a complete disaster when it comes to politics. Democrats were doing the same thing when Clinton lied: claiming innocence for their fallen leader and attempting to blame his shortcomings on the other party. If people weren't so attached to one party and chose how to vote election by election, this wouldn't be such a problem.

It should be noted, however, that Clinton lying about an extramarital affair has much less gravity than Gonzales' politicization of the Justice Department.

They aren't kidding - they really believe it's ok to lie and cheat in support of their "morals" and "values".
