What happens, when a spinning ball hits a wall.. and why so?
I can't seem to be able to understand the physics behind properly.
Thanks

The surface that hits the wall is moving orthogonal to the direction of motion (for a direct impact). The means friction between the ball and the wall exerts a sideways component of force, causing the ball to rebound off to the side. That's why curveballs in baseball often go foul.
