Either we have a viable republic or we do not. Under Bush, evidence of his cimes are secret, dissent is becoming illeagel and we have a president with nothing to hold his administratin in check. No wonder he is a popular as Nixon just prior to his resignation.

At this point, Bush is as dangerous as a cornered animal and ther is no telling what he will stoop to.

Mckenzie: Whatever. I can not fathom your loyalty to so obvious a reckless and irresponsible president. We are miles apart. I see it as my patriotic duty to call things the way I see them.
From the first stolen election, ( a non military coup), to the war crime that is Iraq and on to the attack on civil liberties at home, anyone paying attention would realize and understand how dangerous the Cheney/Bush administration is to our republic. Regarding dissent- check out the broadly written.
"Executive Order: Blocking Property of Certain Persons Who Threaten Stabilization Efforts in Iraq," White House Office of the Press Secretary, July 17, 2007 But I doubt if you comprehend it.
Who is the real partiot? And stop blathering about sedition when our very president has no respect for the rule of law or accontability.

Mckenzie : I read your link. If this sums up your philosophical and political beliefs, I see I need not take you seriously. Methink you doth protest too much to be considered a Democrat beyond Zell Miller or Joe Lieberman.

It is past time. Unfortunately they would be tried in the Senate and the vote for impeachment would favor Bush and Cheney. BUT the Dems need to bring the charges anyway.

Either do it or don't. Constant harping on this note is not going to work. This area was burned out already.

Accusing someone of crimes based on evidence you don't have is treating them as "guilty until proved innocent". Your statement is about as UNAmerican as you can get.

Dissent, illegal? Prove that. That is a lie, made up, nonsense. Why should we believe you?

The Nixon card. Expect it a lot. The only reason people do the same things they did when something goes bad is because they want it to go bad. Vietnam, but itself, wouldn't have sunk the Republican party. The Watergate scandal was needed to paralyze them.

The seditious in our country (I'm a Democrat, not all of us) want that scandal, are desperate for it, but they can't have it.

You want to see why they are desperate to connect Nixon and Bush? Why they act the way they do? Read this link. It's long. Read it anyway. The strategy laid out, clear, and thus the way to fight it.

If you have a patriotic bone in your body, Democrat or Republican, read this.

O.K. It is too late to try to impeach them.

I think Bush has realized that he messed up, but the only thing he can do is to stay the course and hope that things come out alright, or let the next guy deal with it.

We still may end up with a Constitutional showdown over Executive Privilege. I don't see any winners coming out of that.

It's too late in the game for an impeachment. It wouldn't happen anyway. The Democrats hold more seats in Congress than the Republicans do, but not by much. They wouldn't get the required number of votes to impeach. Don't worry about it, he will be gone in a year and a half.

There are plenty of impeachable offenses, but the congress doesn't have the heart for it. Just listen to some of these question/answer/rants complaining about all the investigations. PLEASE. Clinton had a special investigator for 3+ years and no body died for his lies.

If I come across another person asking a serious question with poor grammar and spelling......!

How can I take someone seriously who can't spell or use proper grammar when they insult the American Government.

.....and I am a Democrat for **** sake!

....all you people want to do is keep telling yourself you know whats right rather than listening to a debate of ideas.

Unless we have evidence of actual criminal behavior, Bush has not committed an impeachable offense.

However, if you have evidence of a page giving Bush a hummer...
