Are you using the word "disregard" and "violation" synonymously? Obviously not, because if President Bush have blatantly 'violated' the law or constitution, then he should have been impeached a long time now. Look what happened to Nixon and Clinton.

Now, will he survive (the Republicans in general and Pres. Bush in particular) until January, 2009? Up to now, it's still very iffy because the political landscape currently is still very fluid and 2009 is still a long way to go. Remember the other Bush, the father? Immediately after the first Iraq war, his popularity skyrocketed but immediately plummeted in just a few months after.

They will survive. They were smarter than Nixon. More fall guys, more insulation from the law and Congress, and more secrecy. They will survive, but while they're surviving they are sacrificing the reputation of the Republican Party to do it. If nothing changes in Washington or Iraq in the next year, we may see the Republicans lose the House, the Senate and the White House by record numbers. Much like Bush's approval rating.

They have everything set to go into effect at the slightest provocation: a storm, a "terror" event, some sort of "uprising" (like a peace march), and George will declare martial law, and become Dictator-in-chief. Elections will be suspended, and "we" will disappear. They will probably survive for about 10-15 years, and then China will annihilate the US.

We're still waiting for the information on disregard for the law. If I remember right, the last bunch that served lied from the day they entered until the day they left. Then more after they left. Remember Sandy Berger packing his underwear with sensitive documents? Now that is blatant disregard. Libby deserves the same treatment - freedom.

Oh boy, here we go again! Heck yes they'll survive; bubba Billy has nothing on him. Bush will neither get censured nor impeached. He'll just leave office in a blaze of glory, smirking and wiggling his fingers all the way.

They'll survive because the dems in congress are to cowardly to do anything about it. Just like voting to give Bush the authority to go to un-provoked war just so they wouldn't seem "soft on terror".
