How do you use the defrost on the microwave?

On our microwave defrost it asks you what kind of food your defrosting and the weight. It sets the time. During the process it tells you to reposition the food a couple of times.

Both of the ovens I have had used the power level 3 for defrost. I just had to push the setting in and start.

Um, there's a button labeled "defrost" that I like to use. Sub-menus ask me to select what I'm defrosting, and away I go.
