I just bought an Asus P5B motherboard and i dont know which cable hooks into the cd drive...

It came with these cables,which one hooks in to it

Serial ATA Power and signal cables for 4 devices

Ultra DMA 133/100/66 cable

Floppy Disk drive cable

The Ultra DMA cable. If you look at the back of the CD Drive, you will see that this is the only cable which will fit. (There is also a sound cable which should run from the back of the CD Drive to the motherboard for playing sound into your speakers. )

Ultra DMA cable. The SATA is for a hard drive and very few CD drives and the floppy cable is for floppy drives. You will know if it is SATA (very slim chance) if the connection on the CD drive is slim and looks sorta like an 'L'

the long wide ribbon looking one does it
you put it on and it has a guide in the middle so you know wich way t's supposed to go on. then the porwer you jut get one of the white tipped ended pieces that come from the power supply and plug it into the space it fits in.

well there 2 kind of cdrw sata or ide so wichever your cdrw uses
