The answer above me claims the whitehouse.gov is a liberal website. He should have stuck to the neocon script and attacked him as a communist trying to overthrow the government. OOOps

This is fast becoming a Police State. Call your Senators and Congress. Express your opposition about Executive Order 7/17 and ask the person on the phone what that particular representative is going to do about it. I make my calls every morning! EVERYONE NEEDS TO GET INVOLVED AND HAVE A VOICE! BUSH NEEDS TO BE STOPPED!

To the people who answer these question without even knowing the issue or even looking it up and reading about it are pathetic. You are the type of "citizen" the government loves and wants more of. This is a sad example of the dumbing down of America. READ THE EXECUTIVE ORDER! Here is the White House Link!

It did not have anything to do with protesting. It was about helping out the terrorists.

Jeremiah may need to check the bill of rights again. The 2nd amendment has nothing to do with free speech.

I do not see the "no protesting" part in this order.

That being said, Bush has, yet again, trampled over the rights of US citizens yet a certain block, neo-cons, supports his every action.

At some point, rational people see enough bits and pieces to figure out the whole of any person. Bush's entire puzzle has been put together and yet some still adore the ground he walks on.

edit: Note how those who do not know you, assume you are some wacky liberal simply for pointing out a fact. Liberals who see your other posts accuse you of being a right wing nut. Thus, you must be doing something right.

What I can't figure out is why are people so narrow minded that they can't see that this order applies to everybody. The wording of the order makes it very broad and sweeping in the eyes of the law especially when you take into account the fact that the word terrorist wasn't exactly defined in the Patriot Act. Bush is using his own lawless loophole techniques against the people.

I posted something like this last night when I heard about it. My question got deleted, though.

I think that it just goes to prove that we are living in a Dictatorship. And I know that, now, I'm not putting up with it. Under the 2nd amendment, I have the right to say whatever I want to say. If I disagree with something the current Administration is doing, then I'm going to say it.

Let this be a lesson to all of us. Never again vote for a Bush. They want to control, not only women's bodies and marriage, but now they want to control SPEECH!!!!

Are you part of some left wing propaganda machine. This is part of what's wrong with our country. Someone like you posts some garbage like this and the sheep (who can't or won't) research it for themselves blindly follow you. Wake up people! I see anti-war protests almost every Friday night here and not one person has been arrested. It's a bunch of BS.

Yeah, so true. That's why Michael Moore and Cindy Sheehan are penniless at the moment and begging for scraps.

This is a law saying if you aid and abbet terrorists you're assets will be frozen. It has nothing to do with protesting.

It's an executive order, not a law. The President of the United States cannot pass laws.

This President whittles away at our freedoms on a daily basis; why should this be any different?

I knew about this a few days ago. I've been saying that an impeachment of Bush/Cheney would cause too much of a disruption. I'm very close to changing my mind.
