Some use religion to get what they want but that does not mean they are Christians. Even Hillary is talking about her great faith that got her through so many things. That is bull, and she and hubby are two of the most ruthless, immoral, 'whatever it takes, I'm willing to do or say' people the in public view.

Clinton, for an example, did not speak of religion -he didn't know what a Christian was- and he was allowed to get by with being scum and get away with lying to a congressional committee -which is a felony, and much, much more. But, because he was not claiming to be a Christian, he was allowed a pass on his disgusting and criminal behavior.
Had he claimed to be a Christian, he would have gotten what he had coming.

Well that is to some degree true. The thing is that they use religion as a mask to hide what they are really like and what they are doing. If one talks to loud and acts to proud of being religious then they may very well be attempting to hide something. Look at Clinton, he would talk about what a religious man he was and look what he did. Then look at Carter, he was and has done a lot of good, though I do wish he would keep his mouth shut as far as foreign affairs go. That aside, he is a good person. So your question has some truth in it. Yet it one can not say it is a truthful statement.

I disagree. Jimmy carter was probably our most religious President. He campaigned on being a "born again" Christian. No, he is not seen as the greatest President but you would be hard pressed to find anyone that would say he was a crook.

No i haven't noticed that. Most crooked politicians are Liberals and they leave God out of it.

Those are the ones who are using religion as smoke screen. Jimmy Carter was known as a good Christian man, but he didn't run around trying to convince people of that. You just knew it.

Yes. Politics tends to bring out the biggest hippocrites and liars. A politician must be held accountable to the standard they define for us.

Because they can get God's forgiveness, they can do as they please.

Once you get a pass from the master of time, space and the universe, who cares what people on this lowly mortal coil think?

I have noticed that the greater the generalization the more likely the situation is being over simplified so that it is easily digested by immature minds.
