We are roller coaster connoisseurs of sorts and have ridden everything Vegas has to offer. Here is our rundown on the rides in Vegas.
1) Big Shot - Stratosphere - Possibly the scariest ride I have ever been on in my life. Nothing like the feeling of realizing you are standing on the roof of the Strat Tower, then being shot off of it!
2) Insanity - Stratosphere - Dangling off the side of the tower is almost as terrifying as being shot off of it.
3) Speed - Sahara - The faster coaster in Vegas and quite a rush to go from 0 to 70 in a split second. It is also the smoothest ride in town.
4) Canyon Blaster - Circus Circus - Definitely not as crazy as the Stratosphere rides but a very fun double looping coaster. It even worth fighting the hoards of kids to get to it at CC.
5) X-Scream - Strat. Not quite as good as the other 2 rides at the top of the tower but still a rush and worth riding if you are going on the other two as well.
6) Manhattan Express - NYNY - It would be an excellent coaster if it wasnt so damn brutal. You are literally tossed around the car the whole ride. After 4 or 5 times, we have now named it the "Chiropractor Express." It also is very expensive to ride.
I would suggest giving them all a try then go back for seconds on your favorites. We have done them all many times and still go back to all except for the NYNY coaster.

Jack is right on target with his suggestions. The Stratosphere's rides are absolutely terrifying (being at the top of the tower and all), but I still love the coaster at NY, NY. Speed is pretty cool too, but other than being shot out of the gate at a ridiculous speed, the ride is over as soon as it starts (and isn't all that exciting). Circus Circus is like an indoor theme park, but the rides are REALLY tame--worth looking around and deciding for yourself, though. Have fun!

i've never acutally taken a ride on it but i heard the new york new york ride is good.
circus cicus also has an indoor amusment park that have some pretty good rides. but the place it self is kind of small and there aren't many rides to choose from

dude you have to try the roller coaster at the casino new york new york, also try circus circus, they have an amusement park indoors, and also the stratosphere has awesome rides

Try the one at the NeW YORK, NEW YORK, it's the best. For around 12.00 a ride though.

Try the one at Buffalo Bills. It's located at state line but well worth it.
