traditionally...cheese or peanut butter to harden stools...however, if it is the result of 'over indulgence' of alcohol...not much...some baking soda stirred in some water to settle the stomach...

Food enzymes will help break down your food and support digestion, natures 3 fiber is an excellent fiber to bulk up stools and help clean your colon. Being regular is the key, and many people have this problem. A product a lot of people have found useful is bowel detox:
BOWEL DETOX
Benefits:
•Cleans and builds the intestinal system.
•Strengthens colon tissue.
•Supports proper digestion and intestinal function.
Bowel Detox [Intestinal] is a key product that supports proper digestive and intestinal function. It promotes healthy, regular elimination of waste from the colon. This formula provides digestive enzymes to aid digestion in the upper gastrointestinal tract along with ingredients to provide needed bulk, and to encourage proper flow of waste through the colon.
I also recommend watching your diet, eat whole foods and avoid processed foods, refined sugars and white flour. And always take your vitamins and minerals.
A great website you can take a health analysis on and order products is http://www.mynsp.com/kandismm/index.aspx

Im not a big fan of eating wierd stuff to fix stuff like this.
I've always just kept it simple and waited out the specific problem at the time, waited a while to eat again to make sure whatever it was is completely gone, then eaten boiled potatoes, with a tiny bit of butter and salt to make it easier to eat.
they are pretty blocky and starchy and seem to work fine. natural too.

first you need to make sure its not allergies figure out if there is one food that you ALWAYS eat, try eliminating that from your diet. if that doesnt work try this:
try not to eat for atleast half a day, then make yourself black tea(it has to be black) the tanins(a chemical) in the tea will keep your stools together, you can drink cranberry juice also, after you drink this then you should wait until you feel hungry, and then you should just eat a balanced meal chicken or fish, and plenty of vegetables spinach, red cabbage(important) broccoli.
let me know how this works for you

Your body is reacting to something - best to just ride it out & let your body clear whatever it was that affected it.
Could be a virus, bacteria or a food sensitivity.
If one of my kids got the runs from too much juice, I'd give them cheese or bananas for some relief, stops them up.

cut on fatty or oily foods, but increase fluid intake to replenish the lost ones. i think the most effective action to take is to go on a light diet to rest your stomack and take time to relax and rest. when we relax (avoid stress) our digestive system begins to function well and food gets to be digested properly.
