The World will end when the Sun enters its red-giant phase of its life cycle.

The Sun does not have enough mass to explode as a supernova. According to astronomers, the Earth should last for at least 5 billion (5×109) more years before the sun becomes a red giant. Due to the sun's loss of mass the Earth would escape to an orbit at a further distance than its current orbit. The immense heat however would likely boil off the oceans and turn the Earth into a barren wasteland looking like Mars does with a similar climate to Venus. Irrespective of the Earth surviving that event, the sun would have further evolved into a white dwarf and provide too little heat to sustain life.

However, if you meant life on Earth instead of the actually planet Earth, life will cease in a giant nuclear war, where very few if any human survivors will still be alive. That is how I believe the world as we know it will end. A giant nuclear war where no one is the winner.

The ignorance of man and religion. We will destroy ourselves in the end and all because of ignorance to one another. Been going on in the Middle East since the dawn of man. Anything been settled? Anything learned? Answer to both questions is emphatically NO! Ignorance and stupidity will win, and then we all lose! Lights out.

I think it will begin when the global economy crashes, and society is forced to function without many of the resources we take for granted. We will be pushed back to a primitive state, and many people will die. A more likely scenario would be an asteroid colliding with Earth.

The world will end in its own good time (about 5 billion years or so) everything else is merely details and mankind either thru nature or his own hand will not be here to worry about it.

I think it will look like the ending of Terminator 3 - with all the bombs dropping...

But instead of a machine uprising, it will be the first (and last) military strike of World War III. And unfortunately, I could see that day coming FAR too soon :(:(

Water. I causes life, and death. Like a big tital wave/thusnate that covers the lands....and after we are all dead, a nother plant will nock us out of orbit, and Earth will have the same look as mars does...

I believe by fire. If you happen to be Christian, that's basically what the bible says and its also part of other mythologies. It seems like just one more thing that several religions/mythologies have in common.
