just read this question about bachelor parties and the answers left me with a very negative surprise.
anyway, i dont see the use of these parties. its not like people go in a marriage as a virgin and just before they get married you have to expose to them to the other sex? as an adult we all had sex before, saw and touched. how desperate can one be to need such things? i really think its extremly immature.

Why do you have bachelorette parties? It's not always about sex in one form or another. It's more of a "celebration" of the end of your bachelorhood. Just a stupid right of passage to a guy who's about to get married. It's usually completely harmless, and is just guys' way to congratulate other guys. Don't believe all horror stories you read, because those are usually extreme and rare situations. Again, most are harmless.

I don't have much of a problem with bachelor or bachelorette parties, but hey, if you are not comfortable with strippers, then the party should not involve them. I know many people say it is a matter of trust, but others view that as a form of cheating. Besides, I am aware of the things that strippers will do for money, particularly at private parties. A public strip bar is a little different, meaning there is more control and I don't think there is much of a chance of him catching a disease. However, if you have a problem with that, then he shouldn't do it either.
I really think it is something that should be discussed between the bride and groom, and they should come to the decision of what kind of bachelor and bachelorette party they have. I know a few marriages that have broken up over what happened at these parties, and I don't think someone would want their friend's marriage breaking up over it. A bachelor/bachlorette party is just that, a party, and should not be a time where you throw caution to the wind and not care about the consequences. While most men/women don't take it to that extreme, I know some who have.

Well, I had a bachelorette party but all we did was go to a bunch of bars and had a good time. i ran into people I new and actually a lot of the people that were friends with my fiance. Guys see it a little differently. Instead they like to strip clubs and be cool with the guys. I new that my fiance was going to the strip club and just told him no lap dances. There is nothing wrong with looking when you know that absolutely nothing is going to happen and you don't want it to. Sometimes it's a hard thing to accept but if you trust your fiance then there really shouldn't be a problem.
I trusted my fiance to not do anything inappropriate and he promised me that he wouldn't but I found out that he did anyway. Actually when he came home his zipper was ripped off and his boxers were torn to shred....they have some game for bachelors at this strip club. Many other problems occured in the marriage and we are no longer married. I am with someone else now and we've been together for over 2 years. I wouldn't care if he went to a strip club because he doesn't even tip the girls if I'm not with him. Actually I only recall him going once without me because he said it just doesn't feel right. You just need to find someone that you can trust and truely love

A bachelor party is suppose to be spending a good time with friends and getting smashed. However, these days, too many of these parties are getting out of hand with strippers/ prostitutes, willing to do just about anything for the money. I have heard too many stories about what happens at these parties and am quite irritated by how the men see nothing wrong with it (married or single).
The bachelor parties with friends is harmless, add the strippers and it's just more harmful than good. Honestly, what do guys get out of watching two girls with dildo's. HELLO, your surrounded by guys and the girls are lesbian. What are the odds you're going to get anything (married or not).
Needless to say, I see not need adding strippers to any party, bachelor or bachlorette.

Bachelor party is a just a normal gathering of your best friends. This gathering is just to have fun for the last one night a single person. The lives a day after the party will be diff as you have another half to live with and you have many more commitment.

eh, its tradition. Its kind of like Mardi Gras, where you get to be a little bit naughty before Lent. Men give up sex and late night partying for you, let them have their mardi gras!

They are childish, but they are part of tradition. Just like, throwing the boquet, removing and throwing the garter, b & g feeding each other cake. All childish, but tradition, and fun.
