Gossip is the root of trust issues. If you cannot say what you have to say face to face, rethink it. No one will trust you and you will soon come to trust no one.

Self-confidence is more closely related to the desire to be alone than to gossip. If you had all the confidence in the world, you wouldn't get those lovely reprieves to yourself.

'fraid not. Self confidence is all about self perception-if u don't feel all that great about urself... But my husband has a theory: if someone's gossiping about u they're leaving someone else alone.

you should spread a rumor that the government will henceforth tolerate no more gossip; and then see if life improves.

(i suspect it would turn out like the theory that prohibition would create a more prosperous society because of the expected decrease in crime that should inevitably follow society's increase in sobriety.)

Yes i think so, gossip tears down and is very hurtful, it will break a person's spirit. It did mine.

No, because people are always putting themselves down. I don't need anyone gossiping about me to know what's wrong with me....
