in Iowa on August 11th? Keep in mind that he finished first in the fourth most populous county in Iowa's straw poll and 2nd in the 2nd most populous county's poll. Will he beat Romney or be a close 2nd?

I would not vote for either of them.

It is not likely. He is still polling 5th in the state. I think his highest poll number is 8%. I think it is Romney's in a land slide. Brownback is in a tough battle with Huckabee for the 2nd tier folks in Iowa. I think one of them will come in 2nd or 3rd, the other will be done with their run for the presidency.

I should point out that I am an ardent Romney supporter though, so take it for what it is worth.

Great question. I've expected that Brownback, a "true" conservative, would eventually start to tick up in the polls, but we haven't seen it happen yet in the national polling. But the straw polls (which I assume include people who are much more involved than the average person being polled?) might be a different story.
