First of all, you are a really great sis for caring about the health of your sister. If the kids at school are teasing her, she knows she's overweight so you don't need to point that out to her. She probably just doesn't know what to do about it. What you should do is help her eat healthy---lead by example by making her a healthy meal when you eat together or by showing her how to eat and snack healthy. And, encourage her to do activities with you and your other sister---walking, dancing, bike riding, tennis--whatever will interest her and get her moving. Plus, it's a great opportunity for you to spend some time together and get her to develop a hobby.

The next time she says something weight related, that is an opportunity to discuss with her some ways she can change her situation.
Gently suggest eating better, show her, and then tell her to get some sort of exercise daily (walking is good, bike riding, etc.) and you can be her "exercise buddy".
What does you mom/dad cook for dinner? If it isn't healthy, suggest healthier foods and then assist in preparing it with your little sister. There are lots of books and internet sites with good healthy tips for recipes you can look into.
Starting her now to get healthy is important because she is setting herself up for a very unhealthy adulthood being heavy. I think it's great you love her so much to want to help, you're a good sister! : )

Children learn best by example. Invite her to go bike riding with you, or (insert any other aerobic activity here). If you have one nearby the YMCA usually has special smaller excercise equipment and rooms for kids. Educate her on why it is important to eat healthy and maintain a healthy weight (live longer, less sickness (mental and physical)). Show her how to fix nutritious meals. Don't buy junk food! I can't emphasize that enough---if you don't have it in the house, then it won't be there to tempt you. Eat fruits and veggies for snacks. And drink lots of water! Most of all, be positive and encouraging. Make sure she knows that she is not setting out to be a super thin stick figure, but to be healthy.

Plan a Whole Week OR weekend with her.
Do activities that are good for ex. take a walk in the neighborhood do cartwheels have a jumping jack contest.
for snacks eat a apple or carrot sticks.
For Dinner Give her something healthy, like brockly(sp) and cheese.
and make sure you get her to bed early (10:30 [i know you wont get a 12 year old to bed real early but start asking her to go to bed at like 9:00 eventually shell sleep.)
i hope this helps.
Good luck and God Bless

Use things like peanut butter and bread. Stuff that is fatty but a good healthy fat. Maybe bake muffins and use lots of oil and milk. If your sister likes any sort of nuts that would be perfect since once again they are high in fat but it is a good healthy fat. One that sticks with you in a right way. Make sure she gets protein. If she doesn't like meat than there are alternatives. Like if she likes ice cream make her a milkshake and put flavored protein powder in it (or even in a smoothie) Hope I helped a tad :D

hey its good that your sister have someone like u caring for her and always being there for her i guess thats what make a great sister right sharing that bond
before u can help ur sister you need to say this to her when persons are teasing her
DOES NOT MATTERS WHAT ANYONE SAY ABOUT HER ALL THAT IS IMPORTANT IS THAT YOU ARE PROUD OF YOURSELF AND I ACCEPT MYSELF AND THE WAY I LOOK AS NO1 CAN CHANGE ME EXCEPT ME
then tell your sister how you really and truly feel how u hate seeing kids teasing her and you want to help her to lose weight but before you can help her she will first have to accept who she is and that she really want to change as no 1 can change her except her and when she accepts the way she is and accept THAT DEEP DOWN SHE REALLY WANTS TO CHANGE then u can help her and be by her side every moment till she reaches that goal but first she has to accept who she is and that she REALLY REALLY REALLY wants to change not because u or other people tell her but she wants to.
if she does not accept that she wants to change give her some time to think about it and maybe she will eventually want to change.
take care
hope it all turn out successful

take up some excercise classes WITH her! that would be fun and it makes it seem like your doing it to spend quality time..not because she needs to lose a few.
