I'm trying to decide whether to play violin, saxophone, or guitar. I have a drumset, and pretty much taught myself already how to play drums. I also love the sound of the trumpet and trombone, but I'm not sure how easy those are to play! I have already had piano lessons for 6 years now...
Any suggestions or advice is greatly appreciated!

Depends of what kind of music you really want to play. I personally would pick from the guitar or the violin. I have been told the violin can be hard to learn.

I think you should learn now to play guitar. I have one but I haven't learned how to play anything yet. Awesome that you play piano, I've been only taking lessons for about 1 month so far and I have a keyboard. Whatever instrument you pick, good luck at it! =)

And if you have a decent singing voice you can sing as you play!

I'd love to learn top play the violin because it looks and sounds so soothing, but with an electric guitar....YOU CAN PARTY LIKE A ROCKSTAR...ROCK OUT!!!

I would probably suggest saxophone or guitar, I LOVE the guitar it helps calm my nerves whenever I play and write music =] but saxophone was SOOOOOO much fun to learn and it is deffently great if you are into jazz music!!

Just for sure relaxation, and you're up on piano, get an electronic key board. That in itself plays ALL instruments. I've got one, and it's relaxing, and sounds great. Casio has some fantastic ones, at affordable prices. It'll hook up to a stereo real quick.

I've been playing the violin for almost 7 years now, and it has never gotten boring.

I would go in for a Guitar; very exciting. Just carry it anywhere you like, play in a group, use it as a solo or an accompanying instrument. If you can sing as well, nothing like it.

I think you should pick the most difficult of them all, because once you learn that, you can learn any of the other ones later on. Violin would probably be the hardest.
