I work for a marketing company and a guy form scout.com bet me 3,000 they will be lsu on opening day by 7 points! I couldn't believe it. I was trying to find some type of info on them but every thindg said they sucked so why would he bet me? ( a mutual friend has both checks for the bet)

Guys i feel the same as you do but this guy works for scout.com he is one of our major clients this is no joke he is an expert and is around experts he said that the recruiting class that state got should be ranked #10 in ncaa football saying they'll be the shocker of the 2008 season! that's why i'm worried

My guess is that the stop payment on the check has already been processed. But, I'll the role of devil's advocate, and present this theory:
LSU is implementing a new offense. There is a less-experienced quarterback at LSU. There is a lot of pre-season hype about how stacked the Tigers are and how they will contend for the BCS championship. It's a home game for the Bulldogs and their fans are as rabid as any in the country. Anything can happen in week 1. All of these factors could lead to an upset.
Unfortunately, Miss St has a brutal schedule with road games at Auburn, South Carolina, and Arkansas in the SEC and West Virginia out of conference. I wouldn't bet on them winning the West.

It's exactly that a rumor. Miss St doesn't have snowballs chance in hell of winning the SEC this year.

They should, they're in the best conference (supposedly) so they're better than every other team in the nation that's not in the sec.

no way!!! they may have improved from last year, but to win the sec? they are gonna come to morgantown, WV this year and get killed by WVU.
