depends on the version u get. if u buy the bigger package it comes with virus protection. if u download the free version most of the music files are ok but i would be very careful about the movie files. i have been using it for about 3 years now and the few viruses i have gotten were from the movie downloads. but if u have good virus protection already installed even the few that do slip through should be caught by it. and the speed of the downloads just depends on how fast your internet connection is. but for the most part it works really well.

What most people don't understand is that limewire does not have viruses..people's computer files have viruses. The MOST important thing you have to do is to keep your virus protection updated every year. I've had limewire and Frostwire (which I think is much faster) and I have never had a virus. Think of downloading as practicing safe sex...always have protection!!
The knuclheads that got a virus...well, that's their own fault, not limewires!

I used to have Limewire until it downloaded a virus onto our computer. Then, I stopped using it. I have also heard rumors that it may or may not be illegal because it is free due to file sharing. In other words, the music you download is from other users and they are allowed to put anything they want to put on those music files. Plus, it takes up to 5 minutes to download a single song. Don't get Limewire.

I bought limewire and it is a good place to download music, videos, ect. No I don't think it has any viruses. Though I would advise you to buy limewire instead of doing it illegally.

I have been using it for a long time. It's great! No problems at all and it has a lot of options of categories and to search for different kinds of files. It's simple and organized. I have never had any viruses from it, but that of course depends on what kind of files you're downloading.

limewire is good it has alot of music files and has no viruses well i haven't gotten any

yeah, it work pretty well. i've heard some of my friends got viruses, but personnaly i've used it for years and still virus free. i heard torrent is better if you want to try somethin else (i've never used it before)
