I would like to know if anger can give a false positive and hope to find some research material to validate my assumption.

The key event is the difference between your reactions to neutral questions (like what is your name?) and your reactions to potentially-incriminating questions (like were you ever in that bank?). If you get angry on the incriminating ones that will be as strong a tell as if you got nervous on them. If you act angry when they ask you your name they will think you are some kind of fricking nut case or will realize you are messing with them to try to give a false positive.

Polygraph tests are worthless. They measure the emotional response to questions, not the truth of those questions. Many people when a polygraph is given are just freaked. They are more freaked when they are asked a loaded question like "have you taken drugs" or any question is emotionally loaded. Thus they could be responding to the fear of the question and not its content. There is a reason why they are not allowed in court. You can beat them by responding in a neutral manner all the way through. This is often done by sociopaths or others with control of their emotional responses, such as a Buddhist Monk or perhaps an actor. The polygraph cannot determine truth only the intensity emotional response. If you were thinking of something that pissed you off or were pissed off because you had to be there the polygraph would just show an intense response all the way through.

You can avoid failing questions (or giving the true answer) on a polygraph by squeezing your annal muscles while being asked the question. Pretend like your holding a load in there and the results will come out neutral. One quick way to pass a poly. Anger wont show up. Unless they ask you "are you angry at this time?" Step 1. Squeeze ***. Step 2. Answer: (it will seem truthful enough to who ever is doing the reading)
