Allow the Falcons to tear up Vick's contract without salary cap hits and all that? Or does that stupid owner get what he deserves by having Vick and over paying him so much in the first place? He kept Vick knowing that he wasn't going to win. He kept him because Vick did put 20,000 extra fans in the seats every week. Pure greed over substance!

kwb- No YOU get a clue! Federal indictment pretty much = conviction! Rate is 95% historically and 99% more recently. haven't you see all that evidence? You're in denial!

Not only should the Falcons take the cap hit if Vick is convicted and expelled from the league but I think that Mr. Vick should have to pay back some of that signing bonus.(Remember Ricky Williams). Again if he is convicted. I will agree that once a federal grand jury indicts you, you are pretty much done anyway. But I think all things should be done in proper order.
and jazbac you know I'm not a fan of Vick.

No - The Falcons should've done more research before going ALL IN with a $100million bet on Vick contract. This kennel has been around since 2001 and there were other signs... like not being a skilled QB.

So Atlanta's "stupid" owner is motivated by "greed" and is just out to make a buck? WOW!
How many NFL owners AREN'T in it for the money? It's a business. Blank made an investment that at the time looked promising, but is turning out to be a bad one.
For every Peyton Manning there is a Ryan Leaf . . .

Why give the Falcons any special treatment? Remember Ryan Leaf? Brian Bozworth? Sometimes owners make bad investments. Ray Lewis beat the case against him, or that would be another example...

Vick has not been convicted yet, they can't legally tear up his contract merely because he's been *indicted*. Get a clue.

It's none of the NFL's business. I'm sure you have done some illegal things in the past. It's not like Vick had dogs fighting while he was playing. Is bad as it is that something that the NFL shouldn't get involved in. Look at all the pot smokers in the league. Shoot, look at pacman jones. There's an idiot for you.

If they did all of the NFL players would strike!! The players union would stage it. They can't do it because it goes against the CBA. I wish they could but they can't.
